Anyway.. I hope your Christmas was full of happiness and laughter! There are still a few days left (Including New years eve) SO make it count! :)

Christmas Eve..

Its Christmas Eve.. Which means tomorrow is Christmas Day! Its so strange how time seems to go so quickly as you get older.. I don't understand it.. It feels just like yesterday when i was counting down to when Chris was going to get home from PEI at the end of the summer.
Now we are all together.. Evan in home from Norway, Annie is home from Atlanta.. And so many others from across the world have come home to celebrate Christmas with their families.
As you get older the excitement of Christmas morning seems to fade.. But for me.. I'm actually almost more excited than i was when i was young. Most of the surprises have been spoiled as i know a lot of what lays under the tree for me.. But I'm just as excited! I still get it either way! :)
But Christmas morning is still yet to come.. There are still some fun things in store for tonight.. I'm heading to Church in a couple of minutes to celebrate with my church family.. Then I'm going over to Chris' house to spend time with him and his family.. And then shortly after that.. Chris and i will come back to my home and spend time together and with my family. Maybe a classic Christmas movie with some sweets! Thats what I'm hoping for! :) And then it will time for bed.. Which is actually exciting! Because you know when you go to sleep.. The morning comes faster!
So this is Christmas 2009.. I'm listening to Mew : Vaccine.. Sitting in my bed.. For some reason i like to remember where i was and what i was doing in a special moment like this one..

Anyway.. I'll post sometime soon to let you know all the goodies i received from Santa tonight :) Have a very Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year!

Telling A Story..

So.. For my final photo assignment for the semester we got a very exciting project. We all got a specific song.. We listened to them and then had to go out and get a photo that represented that particular song and its lyrics. My song was a very passionate song, full of love and also extreme sadness. Luckily i had amazing models! And i basically got a whole photo shoot of them.. And there was no acting for this couple.. Their love for each other is very real.. Thats why i was so lucky to shoot them for the assignment! :) Take a look..

Possibility : Lykke Le

There’s a possibility
There’s a possibility
All that I had was all I gon’ get

mmmmmmmmm...

There’s a possibility
There’s a possibility
All I gon' get is gone with your step

So tell me when you hear my heart stop,
You’re the only who knows
Tell me when you hear my silence
There’s a possibility
I wouldn’t know

mmmmmmmmmmm....

Know that when you leave
Know that when you leave
By blood and by mean
You walk like a thief
By blood and by mean
I fall when you leave

So tell me when you hear my heart stop,
You’re the only who knows
Tell me when you hear my silence
There’s a possibility
I wouldn’t know

Tell me when my sigh is over
You’re the reason why I’m close
Tell me if you hear me falling
Theres a possibility
It wouldn’t show

mmmmmmmmmm....

By blood and by mean
I fall when you leave
By blood and by mean
I follow your lead

mmmmmmmmmmmm..

Swing into Motion..

So for my last photo assignment we had to shoot motion in some way. I'll admit this defiantly wasn't my best project in the end, But it wasn't bad either. I could have done more, but I'm happy with everything i suppose. But I'm very excited for my next assignment, we have to shoot wetness but we are not allowed to shoot lakes or oceans, more so when its raining.. But it's not just wet, it has to be soaked. We are also using gray scale this time around, So these pictures could turn out so well if i shoot it right. Im very excited to see what happens.
But for now here are a few of my motion shots i got last week. Enjoy :)

A Song for a Previous Life..

A morning bell
A morning bell
Light another candle and
Release me
Release me

You can keep the furniture
A bump on the head
Howling down the chimney
Release me
Release me
Please
Release me
Release me

Where'd you park the car
Where'd you park the car
Clothes are on the lawn with the furniture
And I might as well
I might as well

Sleepy jack the fire drill
Running round and round and round and round and round...
And round

Cut the kids in half
Cut the kids in half
Cut the kids in half

I wanted to tell you but you never listen
I keep walking
And I wanted to tell you but you never listen
And I keep walkin', walkin', walkin'

The lights are on but nobody's home
And everyone wants to be your friend
And nobody wants to be afraid
And everyone wants to be your friend
And nobody wants to be afraid
Until you're walking, walking, walking

PEI Retreat..

SO .. This past weekend (Halloween weekend) Chris, Andrea and I headed to the Island for a youth retreat with the Summerside Community Church.. It was AWESOME. And i got a lot of good shots there to! This time of year is great for good shots.. With the leaves changing color and whatnot.. And the ocean was near by! It was perfect. (Except the extreme wind and cold)
We got there Friday night and left Sunday Afternoon.. We ate great food.. Played some wicked night games and had some awesome church services. The PEI'ers are so great.. I'm going to miss being over there.. I love it there so much. But to remember our time there I'm going to show you some of the amazing shots we got. :) Enjoy..

Actual Night Shots..

These are a few of the better night shots i took that cold rainy night. All of these were of course taken before my camera fell off the tripod..
The photo of the road was the one i chose to pass into my photo teacher for our night shot..
Enjoy!

Night Shots..

SO.

In photo class we had an assignment this week to get a night shot.. We put our SLR's on manual.. Throw it on a tripod and shoot away.. The photo's i "did" get were pretty nice.. It was cool to just mess around a little bit and see what i could do.. BUT.. Near the beginning of when i was shooting.. I had a little accident... I got enough shots that i'll be able to get one for my assignment.. But.. My camera took some damage. The tripod i signed out from school was not fully healthy to say the least. :( One of the legs would not not tighten.. I wish i had of known, because when i set it up to take a picture of some trees, i turned the other way and down it went.. :'( LUCKILY my camera still works and takes pictures perfectly fine.. But part of me lens broke off.. And when i turn the lens to zoom its not smooth, it's choppy. So.. I will defiantly be needing a new Nikon 18-55 mm lens.. Which goes for about 175$..
At least the camera still works.. So i can wait a little longer before i get my new lens.. But.. Lets just say it OVERLY sucks.. And I'm not using used tripods from school anymore.. Thats for sure.
Once i get the night shots i 'did' get all edited.. Ill post to show what i got before the great fall.

Until then..

farewell..

Our Pumpkin Person!

Jethro! Our own pumpkin person! Who Chris and i made ourselves.. We carved the head earlier that Thanksgiving day.. Not thinking that we would eventually make a person out of it! Later on in the evening we headed to my home.. And saw how many leaves were around my yard.. And i remembered from the Thanksgiving the year before when i went to the Valley with Julia.. And there were fields FULL of all kinds of pumpkin people! So.. We got the clothes together.. Filled them with leaves.. Got him a hat and some mittens and there he was! Jethro! Our Pumpkin person! You could say we were pretty proud with the finished product :)

My Favorite Book : Stars

I was always late, you never afraid, that we could be falling
All our friends would say, maybe we should wait, but they can't see what's coming
And to this day, when everything breaks, you are the anchor that holds me

And that is why we'll always make it

How I know your face, all the ways you move, you come in, I can read you
You're my favourite book
All the things you say, the way you shift your eyes
I never knew there was someone, to make me come alive

When the days are long, and the thunder with the storm, can always get me crying
You can make my bed, I'll fall into it, shattered but not lonely
Because I never knew a home, until I found your hands, when I'm weathered
You come to me, you're my best friend

And that is why we'll always make it

How I know your face, all the ways you move, you come in, I can read you
You're my favourite book
All the things you say, the way you shift your eyes
I never knew there was someone, to make me come alive

How I know your face, all the ways you move, you come in, I can read you
You're my favourite book
All the things you say, the way you shift your eyes
I never knew there was someone, to make me come alive

When you go to work all the day I wait
For you to come home, recount our time, in our little place
