In photo class we had an assignment this week to get a night shot.. We put our SLR's on manual.. Throw it on a tripod and shoot away.. The photo's i "did" get were pretty nice.. It was cool to just mess around a little bit and see what i could do.. BUT.. Near the beginning of when i was shooting.. I had a little accident... I got enough shots that i'll be able to get one for my assignment.. But.. My camera took some damage. The tripod i signed out from school was not fully healthy to say the least. :( One of the legs would not not tighten.. I wish i had of known, because when i set it up to take a picture of some trees, i turned the other way and down it went.. :'( LUCKILY my camera still works and takes pictures perfectly fine.. But part of me lens broke off.. And when i turn the lens to zoom its not smooth, it's choppy. So.. I will defiantly be needing a new Nikon 18-55 mm lens.. Which goes for about 175$..
At least the camera still works.. So i can wait a little longer before i get my new lens.. But.. Lets just say it OVERLY sucks.. And I'm not using used tripods from school anymore.. Thats for sure.
Once i get the night shots i 'did' get all edited.. Ill post to show what i got before the great fall.
Until then..
farewell..
bummer about the lens...
